Lenovo's Y700 Infinity Gaming Tablet Will Pack the Fastest Snapdragon Chip Yet
Lenovo’s Legion lineup is getting a serious upgrade. The company confirmed Tuesday that its Y700 Infinity tablet, due in August, will run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version — the fastest clocked variant of the chip currently available, with a CPU hitting up to 4.74GHz.
The high-frequency 8 Elite Gen 5 isn’t entirely new — it’s the same chip that Samsung used across its 2026 smartphone lineup and that powers the Red Magic 11S Pro. But this is the first time Lenovo is putting it in a tablet, and the rest of the spec sheet suggests the company isn’t holding back.

The Y700 Infinity will pair that processor with LPDDR5T memory clocked at 10,667 MT/s and UFS 4.1 Pro storage — both top-tier specs that should keep load times short and multitasking smooth. Previous leaks suggested the tablet would also support 5G (including the N79 band), with both a built-in eSIM and a removable physical SIM slot. Around back, a 50MP camera sits inside a three-segment RGB ring, a signature look for the Legion gaming lineup.
Lenovo hasn’t pinned down an exact release date or price yet, but the August window puts it squarely against the Red Magic gaming tablet 5 Pro and whatever else lands in the late-summer Android tablet rush. With the fastest Snapdragon in a compact gaming tablet form factor, the Y700 Infinity is shaping up as one to watch.
