Lenovo's Next Legion Gaming Tablet Leaks at Gaming Expo — OLED and 5G in a Compact Package
A new Lenovo Legion gaming tablet made an appearance at the Nuclear Fusion Game Carnival 2026 in Shenzhen last week, and the leaked specs suggest the company is packing flagship hardware into a surprisingly compact frame.
Photos from the show floor show a tablet with a single 50MP rear camera surrounded by what looks like an RGB ring — a signature touch for the Legion gaming lineup. The back panel carries the Legion logo in bold lettering, and the device looks noticeably smaller than most flagship tablets. That small form factor, combined with leaked details, points to a device built for gaming first.
IT-NEWS has learned that the tablet is expected to belong to the Lenovo AI Tablet Legion Y700 series. According to leaker @体验more, the new model will feature an OLED display with slim front bezels — a meaningful upgrade from the LCD panels used in previous Y700 models. The leaker also confirmed the device supports SIM cards and will include calling functionality, a feature the gaming tablet crowd has been asking for.
The current Y700 Gen 5, launched in March this year, already packs a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, an 8.8-inch 165Hz display, 9000mAh battery with 68W fast charging, and bypass charging for uninterrupted gaming sessions. It also ships with Super Connect 3.0, which lets users read iPhone SMS messages on the tablet and transfer files across Lenovo PCs, tablets, Motorola phones, and iPhones.
If the OLED rumor holds, this next-gen model would be the first in the Y700 line to move away from LCD — a change that would give it deeper blacks, better contrast, and more vibrant colors for gaming. Combined with SIM support, it could also double as a secondary phone replacement for users who prefer carrying one small tablet over both a phone and a large tablet.
No official release date or pricing has been announced. The Y700 Gen 5 launched at ¥3,999, so expect the OLED version to come in at a slight premium.
