Micron and Anthropic Forge Strategic AI Infrastructure Partnership
Micron Technology and Anthropic have announced a sweeping strategic partnership aimed at jointly building the next generation of artificial intelligence infrastructure, bringing together one of the world’s largest memory and storage manufacturers and one of the most prominent frontier AI labs in a multi-layered collaboration that spans hardware co-engineering, long-term supply commitments, enterprise software adoption, and direct equity investment.
Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate on advancing the role of core memory and storage technologies — including HBM (High Bandwidth Memory), DRAM, and SSDs — in AI training and inference workloads, with the goal of optimizing performance, energy efficiency, and cost structures across next-generation AI infrastructure.
The partnership also includes a long-term supply agreement covering Micron’s data center product portfolio. As Anthropic continues to scale its Claude model family to meet surging demand, securing a stable pipeline of critical memory and storage components has become a cornerstone of the company’s long-term compute strategy, the AI firm noted.
On the enterprise side, Micron disclosed that it has already rolled out Claude across its organization, using the model to accelerate code development and deploy more advanced, intelligent applications across engineering, manufacturing, and corporate functions.
In a further deepening of ties, Micron confirmed it has participated in Anthropic’s Series H funding round, cementing a financial stake in the AI company as both partners work toward co-developing the infrastructure foundation for future AI systems.
