Xiaomi's REDMI Turbo 5 Has Already Sold Over 2 Million Units

Five months after launch, Xiaomi’s REDMI Turbo 5 series has crossed the 2 million sales mark.

According to sales tracking data from industry analyst @RD观测, the Turbo 5 lineup had moved roughly 2,004,200 units by the 26th week of 2026 (June 22–28). That figure covers both the standard REDMI Turbo 5 and the higher-end Turbo 5 Max.

The same tracker also published sales numbers for Xiaomi’s K90 series. The standard K90 led the pack at about 2,391,300 units, followed by the K90 Pro Max at 724,800 and the K90 Max at 413,500.

The Turbo 5 series launched on January 29 in two variants. The standard model runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500-Ultra chip and starts at ¥1,999 (roughly $275), while the Turbo 5 Max was the first phone to ship with the Dimensity 9500s processor, starting at ¥2,199 (~$300).

Chinese government subsidies brought effective prices as low as ¥1,699 for the base model — a discount that likely helped early momentum. Xiaomi positions the Turbo line between the budget Note series and the flagship K lineup, targeting buyers who want strong performance without paying a premium.

The sales figures suggest the strategy is working. In a market where mid-range phones often blur together, Xiaomi has carved out a clear slot for devices that lead on chipset choice and battery capacity — the Turbo 5 packs a 7,560 mAh cell — rather than camera gimmicks or design flourishes.
