Honor MagicOS 11 'Liquid Glass' Beta Opens Second Registration Round
Honor’s MagicOS 11 introduced Android’s first “Liquid Glass” design language earlier this month with an exclusive early-access program, and now the company has confirmed that a second round of registrations is on the way.
The initial “early screening” launch took place on June 16, with the Liquid Glass beta open to owners of the following devices:
- Honor Magic8
- Honor Magic8 Pro
- Honor Magic8 Pro Air
- Honor Magic8 RSR | Porsche Design
According to SMS notifications sent to users who were not selected in the first round, Honor plans to open a second phase of registration before July 31, with additional slots becoming available.
MagicOS 11’s Liquid Glass design is billed as Android’s first dynamic full-screen transparency effect, with support for user-customizable transparency levels. Honor MagicOS Design Director Wang Qian described the feature as a “fluid light transparency design” that blends flowing light textures with the Liquid Glass effect to simulate dynamic lighting changes across the interface.

Beyond the signature Liquid Glass look, MagicOS 11 also supports three customizable material effects that users can switch between: Liquid, Frosted, and Full Color — offering distinct visual personalities for different tastes.

The expansion of the beta program signals that Honor is ramping up toward a broader rollout of MagicOS 11, though no official stable release timeline has been announced yet.
