Marvel is reportedly developing a large-scale mobile action RPG under the codename Project Comet, with leaked gameplay footage and concept art suggesting a style closely resembling miHoYo’s Genshin Impact and Kuro Games’ Wuthering Waves. The leak, which surfaced through gaming outlet GamingOnPhone on June 23, includes character models, combat animations, storyboards, UI mockups, and gameplay clips — all pointing to an ambitious open-world experience built around Marvel’s iconic character library.
The credibility of the leak is bolstered by the fact that several related video sources, originally posted by @multiversusie, have since been taken down due to copyright claims from the rights holder. This kind of swift DMCA-style enforcement is often a telltale sign that the leaked material is legitimate.
From the leaked materials, Project Comet appears to follow the established formula of open-world gacha action RPGs: players explore a vast environment, switch between characters in a party, and engage in real-time combat with flashy elemental-style abilities. The twist, of course, is that the character roster draws from Marvel’s deep well of heroes and villains rather than original anime-inspired designs.
The art direction shown in the leaks bears a noticeable resemblance to NetEase’s Marvel Rivals, with stylized character models and exaggerated, high-impact combat effects.
