Moore Threads Releases v340.150 Driver: Legacy Platform Support, Up to 150% Gaming Performance Boost
Moore Threads has unveiled its latest graphics driver, version v340.150, for the MTT S80 and MTT S70 GPUs, delivering a substantial update that spans platform compatibility, professional content creation, and gaming performance. The release marks one of the most comprehensive driver upgrades from the Chinese GPU maker in recent months, targeting both gaming enthusiasts and creative professionals.

On the compatibility front, the v340.150 driver introduces support for older platforms that lack Resizable BAR functionality — a technology that allows the CPU to access the GPU’s entire video memory in a single pass. Many legacy CPUs and motherboards do not support this feature, which previously prevented users from adopting Moore Threads GPUs without a full platform upgrade. The new driver solves this through low-level optimizations, enabling stable operation on aging hardware and significantly lowering the barrier to entry for users looking to upgrade their graphics without replacing their entire system.
In the realm of professional creation and media processing, the driver adds Vulkan-based video encoding and decoding support for FFmpeg, the open-source multimedia framework. This means developers and content creators can now leverage hardware-accelerated video processing through standard APIs, streamlining workflows for video transcoding and editing. The update also deepens support for Blender’s Vulkan backend, improving stability in key creative scenarios within the popular 3D modeling suite. Additionally, Moore Threads’ proprietary MTVSR real-time video super-resolution technology — which uses AI reconstruction algorithms to enhance the clarity and detail of low-resolution, low-quality source footage — has received a targeted upgrade.
Gaming performance is the headline act of this release. According to Moore Threads’ official figures, the v340.150 driver delivers dramatic frame rate improvements across multiple popular titles: Europa Universalis 5 sees a performance uplift of over 150%, Neverness to Everness gains more than 90% in DirectX 11 mode, and Deadlock improves by over 80%. The driver also includes targeted optimizations for VEIN, Enshrouded, and Detroit: Become Human, among others.
Users can download the latest driver from the Moore Threads official website. Those who already have the PES Control Center installed can use the “Check for Updates” feature to download the new Windows driver directly.
