Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2 Renders Leak: 35% Bigger Battery, Refined Design
Samsung’s next rugged flagship smartwatch is taking shape. Noted leaker Evan Blass has shared a fresh set of renders showing the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 in both black and green-gray colorways, and the early look suggests Samsung is refining the formula rather than reinventing it — while delivering a meaningful battery upgrade that users have been asking for.

The case back confirms the watch will retain a 47mm form factor, along with sapphire crystal protection, LTE connectivity, GPS, and 10ATM water resistance — the same durability hallmarks that defined the original Ultra. A new detail worth noting is the addition of numerical markings and minute-style indices on the bezel ring, plus an orange triangle at the 12 o’clock position. It is not yet clear whether the bezel supports physical rotation.

Samsung’s familiar three-button layout returns on the right side: a circular Action button in the center with an orange accent ring, flanked by two elongated metal keys above and below. The overall silhouette remains bold and utilitarian, leaning into the outdoor-adventure aesthetic the Ultra line has cultivated.

The headline upgrade, however, is happening inside. The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is rated at 784mAh, with a typical capacity expected to be marketed as 800mAh. That is a roughly 35% jump from the original Galaxy Watch Ultra’s 590mAh typical rating — a bump that should translate to noticeably longer endurance between charges, especially for users who lean on GPS tracking and always-on display features.

Samsung has not officially announced the Galaxy Watch Ultra2, but with renders and regulatory filings beginning to surface, a launch alongside the company’s next foldable lineup in the second half of 2026 appears increasingly likely. If the battery figures hold, the Ultra2 could address one of the few weak spots in what was otherwise a well-received first-generation wearable.
