Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Series Surfaces in Official-Looking Posters Ahead of July 22 Event

Samsung has something to unfold next week. The company’s Galaxy Unpacked summer event lands in London on July 22, and if the leaked official posters making the rounds are accurate, the lineup is more ambitious than ever.

Androidheadlines published what appear to be Samsung’s official promotional images for the Galaxy Z Fold8 series. One render shows a large book-style foldable. Another shows a compact flip-style device. A third — a wider “stretch” foldable — has been rumored for years but never materialized. The renders also tease the Galaxy Watch 9 in a minty pale green finish and the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 in a deep forest green.

The timing matters. Samsung’s bet on foldables has been the defining counterpoint to Apple’s still-unreleased foldable iPhone, which supply chain sources say is targeting mass production later this month. By unveiling three distinct form factors in one event, Samsung is trying to own the category before Cupertino enters it.

Samsung’s invitation for the London event promises to “unfold a new form.” London, the company wrote, is a city that doesn’t chase trends but leads them — a not-so-subtle jab at Apple’s home base.

The Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra2 look like iterative updates on the design front. Samsung typically saves the silicon upgrades for its wearables during the summer Unpacked instead of the fall event. Expect a new Exynos chip optimized for battery life and better sleep tracking.

Leaked specs for the Z Fold8 remain thin, but the poster images confirm the overall direction: slimmer bezels, a more pronounced hinge that could mean a smaller crease, and camera modules that closely resemble the Galaxy S26 series.

July 22 is a week away. By then, we’ll have a clear answer on whether Samsung’s strategy is a smart hedge or a sign that the company can’t settle on one form factor.
