Lynk & Co 20 EV Spied Without Camouflage — LiDAR and a Sharper Design Signal Q3 Launch

Lynk & Co’s next electric crossover just showed up in broad daylight with nothing to hide. The Lynk & Co 20, a sportier evolution of the Z20, was photographed in an unguarded state — no camouflage, no wraps, just a production-ready car waiting for its official debut.

The images, shared by automotive leaker @SugarDesign, show a car that builds directly on the Z20 platform but with sharper visual details. The front fascia is more angular, the body lines are tighter, and — most notably — there’s a LiDAR sensor embedded in the roofline. That’s a meaningful upgrade. LiDAR on a compact crossover in this price bracket (the Z20 starts around 109,900 RMB, or roughly $15,000) signals that Lynk & Co is making advanced driver assistance a priority, not an option.

Under the sheet metal, the 20 shares the same 2755mm wheelbase as the Z20 but stretches slightly longer — 4495mm versus 4460mm. It stays the same width at 1845mm and height at 1573mm. Power comes from a single rear-mounted motor rated at 245 kW (328 hp), paired with an LFP battery pack. Top speed is listed at 201 km/h (125 mph).

The current Z20 offers two battery options — 51.2 kWh and 61.47 kWh — with CLTC range ratings of 430 km and 530 km respectively. It’s reasonable to expect the Lynk & Co 20 to carry similar specs, possibly with a small bump in efficiency given the updated aerodynamics.

Lynk & Co has positioned the 20 as a more refined, more tech-forward take on its entry-level EV. The Z20 has been a solid seller in China since its launch, offering a rare mix of European-inspired design and aggressive pricing. The 20 looks to double down on that formula by adding autonomous driving hardware without pushing the price up.

A Q3 2026 launch means an official reveal is likely just weeks away. For a brand that’s been expanding steadily beyond China — Lynk & Co has a growing presence in Europe and the Middle East — this compact crossover could be a strong candidate for export markets.
