VAXEE NP-01 Ergo Wireless: A Mouse Built for the Tilt Grip
Most gaming mice are designed for a palm or claw grip. VAXEE is betting there’s a third way — a slight wrist tilt that changes everything about how your hand meets the mouse.
The company’s new NP-01 Ergo Wireless, launching tonight Beijing time, is built around what VAXEE calls the “micro-tilt” grip style. The shell is large, full, and high-backed, with deliberate support across the palm. It’s not a radical departure from the wired NP-01 series, but the wireless conversion brings real changes beyond just cutting the cable.
At the core is VAXEE’s own Core1 optical sensor, capable of up to 42,000 CPI. The company says the tracking feels “extremely responsive,” which is the kind of claim that only matters if the rest of the system keeps up. On that front, the NP-01 Ergo Wireless ships with VAXEE’s third-generation Core Link wireless technology, engineered specifically for interference resistance in crowded RF environments like tournament halls. It supports an 8 kHz polling rate — meaning the mouse reports its position to the PC 8,000 times per second, a spec that competitive players have come to expect from high-end peripherals.
Battery life depends heavily on that polling rate choice. At the standard 1 kHz polling, the mouse runs for about 98 hours on a charge. Crank it to the full 8 kHz competitive mode, and that drops to 23 hours — still enough for several tournament days, but you will want to keep the charging cable handy.
The mouse also offers adjustable lift-off distance across five levels and configurable button response latency at 0 ms, 2 ms, or 4 ms. These are the kind of granular tuning options that separate enthusiast hardware from mass-market peripherals.
Pricing is set at 1,190 yuan in China and $149.99 in North America — a premium tier that puts it in direct competition with established wireless esports mice from Logitech, Razer, and Finalmouse. Whether the tilt-grip design earns a loyal following will depend on how many players discover they prefer that slight wrist rotation all along.
The NP-01 Ergo Wireless goes on sale tonight at 8 PM Beijing time.
